Hi there, It’s Noura!
A registered dietitian, an educator, a mom, and food-themed stuff lover!

I have a big passion and energy for food, nutrition, and education.
I can’t believe that I completed 10 years as a dietitian in 2023. You know what my first job was? I was a teacher for little children!
I worked in many different settings as a dietitian. I worked (and still working) in research, in endocrinology, and in preventative health.
Since becoming a mom, I have turned to Google a lot to find good events or community activities to get my kids busy learning, playing, making friends, staying away from screens and from whining about boredom.
I totally get it when moms feel tired all the time and have no time to prepare activities for their children. I love Pinterest to collect all the ideas, but between me and you, I never get a time nor energy to recreate many of them.
Since being a mom, a teacher and a dietitian, I have been thinking about combining all that into Nourish with Noura programs and initiatives.
Kids learn in so many different ways, and I know that they like to use all senses in learning, and have fun and positive experiences during the learning process.
So, whether your child loves cooking, baking, gardening, or just learning about the science of food, we’ve got you covered. Our workshops are designed to be interactive, hands-on, and fun, while also promoting healthy relationship with food, develop eating habits, and food literacy.
More About Me
Teaching and learning bring me joy!
I came to nutrition and dietetics from my great love of science that started in childhood. I pursued my dream to become a Registered Dietitian after completing a BSc in Dietetics at the United Arab Emirates University, Dietitians Pre-Registration Program at Ryerson University (now Toronto Metropolitan University), and an MSc in Nutrition at the University of Saskatchewan.
My Master’s research and thesis were inspired by an after school cooking program for children in grades 4 and 5 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
I also received my Certified Diabetes Educator certificate from the Canadian Diabetes Educators Certification Board after my experience working with people with diabetes. Then I received my Certified Bariatric Educator certificate too. I also did the Intuitive Eating Counsellor Certificate.
Food and its science fascinate me from seed to table. The whole process!
I am a mother of a boy and a girl and currently expecting child number 3. I learn a lot from them as they’re growing. They are also picky, so I get creative and very patient.
